The Sianantu Community Care Initiative (SCCI) has supported the Lwiindi Ceremony in Sinazongwe, reaffirming its commitment to preserving cultural heritage and strengthening community bonds.
Through SCCI, the Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Cosmas Zyaambo, donated 10 × 25kg bags of mealie meal towards the ceremony, supporting the community as it gathered to celebrate its traditions, heritage and shared identity.
As a gesture of respect and appreciation for the traditional institution, Dr. Zyaambo also presented a gift to Her Highness Chieftainess Sinazongwe.
The donation was delivered on behalf of SCCI by Mr. Austin Simaanzi, who represented Dr. Zyaambo during the handover.
For SCCI, cultural preservation is an important component of community development. Traditional ceremonies provide opportunities for communities to celebrate their heritage, strengthen unity and pass knowledge and values from one generation to another.
This support forms part of SCCI's broader commitment to healthcare, education, water and sanitation, youth and women empowerment, cultural preservation and sustainable community development.
SCCI remains committed to working with communities, not above them, as it continues to support initiatives that promote dignity, resilience and sustainable development.
Preserving our heritage. Empowering our communities. Building a resilient future.
